ZWSOFT has officially released ZW3D Wukong 2027, a version focused on large-model performance and a seamless workflow from design to machining. Here are the highlights for mechanical engineers.
1. Performance with large assemblies
Assemblies with thousands of parts load and rotate more smoothly thanks to a new display engine. Opening large STEP files is significantly faster than before.
2. CAM: a smarter QuickMill
The QuickMill 3-axis toolset detects roughing and finishing regions automatically, reducing toolpath setup steps for mold parts.
The goal of 2027 is to let engineers complete the whole CAD/CAM workflow in one application, without converting data back and forth.
3. Data compatibility
Direct reading of the latest SolidWorks, CATIA, NX and Creo formats, keeping PMI and attributes when moving to 2D drawings.
